Art 1 Still Life

Art 1 students are creating mixed media still lifes of children's toys (shhh! Don't tell my son where his sand toys went!) We are focusing on composition (the way you fill the space) with this assignment. Students are expected to choose a focal point and eyepath and be conscious of their negative space.

Self Portrait Busts

The Advanced Art self portrait busts are finally finished! Come and check them out in the showcase and read the personal haikus that each student wrote to accompany his or her bust.

Portraits!

Art 2 students are drawing each other and everyone else! They are creating large drawings of one another in class and tiny, secretive drawings the rest of the day. Each student has 15 2"x3" cards to keep in their pocket for capturing quick portraits this week... classmates, teachers, neighbors, parents... who will be caught by these quick artists?
